What does free actually cover?
A free preview is useful for learning an interface, but it does not tell you whether you can download a usable video. A trial, a renewable allowance, and a credit grant are also different offers. Before you begin, decide the minimum your project needs: a short personal test or an export suitable for publication.

Inspect five limits separately
Duration: Check the maximum length per clip and whether the interface trims excess footage. Also distinguish a per-clip limit from a total allowance. A short duration limit may still be adequate for testing the hardest moment of your project.
Resolution: Check the exported frame dimensions, not just the upload limit or a general “HD” label. If you need a full-screen result, examine the downloadable sample at that size. A higher-resolution export is not proof of better facial detail; see the blur guide.
Watermark: Find out whether a visible mark appears in the finished video. A clean preview does not establish that the export is clean. Do not plan to crop away a provider’s watermark; choose an offer that permits the delivery you need.
Credits: Read the unit being charged. As one verified example, Deepswap lists one credit per 15 seconds for video face swap on its pricing page. Check rounding, failed-job handling, and rerender charges before budgeting; those details were not established by that rate alone.
Usage rights: Personal testing and commercial publication can have different terms. Keep the provider’s output license separate from permission to use the original footage and likeness. One does not replace the other.
Run a low-commitment export check
- Choose a short, non-sensitive clip you have permission to use.
- Read the displayed allowance and any billing or trial conditions before accepting an offer.
- Process a segment that includes the movement you care about, not just a still pose.
- Open the actual export in a local player. Check dimensions, watermark, sound, and whether the whole segment is present.
- Decide whether the result meets your minimum needs before processing the rest.
